Train Services Disrupted on Agra-Delhi Route After Freight Train Derails Between Mathura and Azhai Stations

There has been an incident on the railway line between Vrindavan and Ajhai stations in Mathura. A freight train derailed on Tuesday night, causing a major disruption on the Agra-Delhi route.

As a result of this accident, trains had to be redirected through Aligarh to reach Delhi. A total of 12 trains passed through Aligarh, while two local MEMU trains were cancelled.


This disruption affected many passengers, especially during the festive season. The MEMU train from Tundla to Aligarh and the one from Aligarh to Old Delhi were cancelled, leaving travelers in a tough spot.

Railway officials mentioned that trains like the Chennai CTL Delhi Express and the Mangala Lakshadweep Express had to change their routes. This adjustment was necessary to manage the situation caused by the derailment.


Immediate steps are being taken to restore normal train services. Passengers are advised to check the latest updates on train schedules before traveling.
