The Vande Bharat Express train service is getting an exciting update! Starting from August 27, 2025, this train will run from Meerut to Varanasi, giving passengers more options for travel.

This extension means that travelers can now visit important religious sites in Ayodhya and Varanasi more easily. The first day saw 12 passengers boarding from Hapur station, with people heading to Bareilly, Lucknow, and Ayodhya.


The train, numbered 22490, will leave Meerut at 6:35 AM and reach Varanasi by 6:25 PM, stopping at Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, and Ayodhya. On the return journey, it departs Varanasi at 9:10 AM and arrives back at Hapur by 8:10 PM.

Passengers will enjoy modern facilities like air-conditioned chair cars and bio-vacuum toilets. The train will have a brief stop of just two minutes at Hapur, making travel quick and convenient.
