Indian Railways is making efforts to improve travel for passengers in the country. Recently, they introduced a new train service that connects Meerut directly to Ayodhya and Varanasi. This change is expected to make the journey faster and more convenient for travelers.

The Vande Bharat Express now departs from Meerut City Station at 6:35 am and goes directly to Varanasi and Ayodhya. The train’s first trip to Varanasi took place on Wednesday, and many devotees were excited about this new service.


On the first day of this service, 72 tickets were booked by passengers traveling to Ayodhya and Varanasi. Specifically, 49 people were heading to Ayodhya, while 23 were going to Varanasi. Travelers shared their happiness about the easier access to important religious sites.

Previously, this train mainly ran between Meerut and Lucknow, often with many empty seats. However, with the new route to Ayodhya and Varanasi, it saw a total of 234 tickets sold on its very first day, which pleased railway officials.


The train covers a distance of 783 km now, compared to the earlier 459 km journey to Lucknow. It will reach Lucknow by 1:45 pm and Varanasi by 6:25 pm, making it a more efficient option for passengers traveling on this route.
