Vande Bharat Express to Make Temporary Two-Minute Stop at Kovilpatti Station Starting October 9th, Railway Board Approves

The Vande Bharat Express will now stop at Kovilpatti station for two minutes on a trial basis, starting October 9th.



The Railway Board has announced a new update for train travelers. Starting from October 9th, the Vande Bharat Express, which runs between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli, will make a temporary stop at Kovilpatti station.

This stoppage will last for two minutes. Train number 20665, which goes from Egmore to Tirunelveli, will arrive at Kovilpatti at 9:23 PM and leave at 9:25 PM. Similarly, train number 20666, coming from Tirunelveli to Egmore, will stop at Kovilpatti at 6:38 AM and depart at 6:40 AM.


This change will make it easier for passengers traveling from Kovilpatti. They will now have the chance to catch these fast trains at convenient times. The new stop gives locals better access to the Vande Bharat service.

Passengers should note the new timings to plan their journeys accordingly. The trains will still operate on their regular schedules, but with this added stop, it could help many commuters in the area.
