Vande Bharat Train Temporarily Halted at Duvvad Amid Cyclone Concerns, First Such Incident in Division

Railway officials stopped the Vande Bharat train at Duvvad to help passengers during heavy rains.



Recently, the Vande Bharat train was stopped at Duvvad station, even though it doesn’t usually stop there. This decision was made because of the heavy rains caused by a cyclone, which led to the cancellation of many trains.

On Tuesday, many passengers had booked tickets for the Vande Bharat train going from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam. Most of these passengers were from Duvvad and surrounding areas, but the train didn’t have a scheduled stop there.


One passenger tweeted about the situation, requesting railway officials to make a temporary stop at Duvvad. They explained that it would be difficult for them to travel back home from Visakhapatnam due to the rains, and their request was taken seriously.

Railway officials responded positively and decided to stop the train at Duvvad around 1:20 PM. This was announced over the microphone to the passengers. About 100 passengers got down at Duvvad, marking a first for the Vande Bharat train at a station without a regular stop.


In summary, this stop was made to help passengers facing difficulties due to the weather. People appreciated the quick response from the railway authorities, which showed their willingness to assist during challenging times.
