Affordable Travel with Amrit Bharat
To ensure that middle and lower-income families have access to comfortable, long-distance travel, the Railways has introduced 14 Amrit Bharat trains within the state. These services target routes exceeding 800 kilometers or journeys longer than ten hours. According to a PIB release from July 23, 2026, there are now 72 Amrit Bharat services operational across India. These non-air-conditioned trains feature 22 coaches and utilize advanced push-pull technology to maintain a maximum speed of 110-130 kmph.
