Train passengers travelling through the Ranchi Railway Division need to plan their journeys carefully as essential infrastructure development work is scheduled on the Kita-Silli rail section. The developmental block will take place on August 21, 2026, aimed at boosting overall rail safety and operational efficiency across the network. A total of nine pairs of train services will face partial cancellations or complete suspension during this period. Passengers are strongly advised to check their train schedules beforehand to avoid last-minute hassle at the stations.
Impact on Major Train Services
Five pairs of trains will experience partial cancellations or short-terminations due to the engineering works. The popular 13503/13504 Barddhaman-Hatia-Barddhaman MEMU Express will be partially terminated and will originate at Gomoh station, keeping the service between Gomoh and Hatia completely cancelled. Similarly, the 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express will terminate at and commence its return journey from Adra station, with operations suspended between Adra and Hatia. Furthermore, the 63598/63597 Asansol-Ranchi-Asansol MEMU Passenger will be short-terminated and originated at Muri station, leaving the Muri-Ranchi-Muri section temporarily out of bounds.
Completely Cancelled Trains and Passenger Advice
Service will remain fully suspended for four passenger trains on August 21. These include the 58663/58664 Hatia-Sanki-Hatia Passenger and the 58665/58666 Hatia-Sanki-Hatia Passenger. Senior DCM Shreya Singh of the Ranchi Railway Division emphasized that these developmental interventions are crucial for upgrading long-term rail operations and infrastructure reliability. Railway authorities are taking necessary steps to wrap up the work swiftly, and normal train movements will resume as soon as the project concludes. Travellers should check live updates with IRCTC or station authorities before setting out.
