This article shares updates about the expansion plans for the Vande Bharat train from Gorakhpur to Ayodhya and details about another train service.
Good news for train travelers! The first Vande Bharat train passing through Muzaffarpur may soon extend its route to Ayodhya from Gorakhpur. The Railway Board is conducting a feasibility survey to check if this extension is possible.
Currently, the Gorakhpur-Patliputra-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat train has been operational for around three months, but it hasn’t been attracting enough passengers. Many travelers and members of the railway advisory committee have been asking for the train to go to Ayodhya or Varanasi.
Starting from Wednesday, the Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat train will begin regular service. This train will run six days a week, except on Tuesdays, departing from Danapur at 5:10 PM and reaching Muzaffarpur by 6:45 PM.
It will also make a stop for five minutes before continuing to Jogbani, arriving there around 1:20 AM. The return train from Jogbani will leave at 3:25 AM and reach Danapur by 11:30 AM.
After the feasibility survey, the chances of extending the Vande Bharat train to Ayodhya look promising. Meanwhile, the new service between Danapur and Jogbani is set to cover a distance of 455 kilometers, stopping at 12 stations along the way.
