Dr. Manoj Singh from the Railway Board visited Patna on Friday to check the progress of the Hardinge Park Terminal. During his visit, he inspected the construction site and reviewed the design and layout. He has ordered the officials to speed up the work to ensure the project is finished on time. He emphasized that the terminal is being built for future needs, so there should be no compromise on quality or safety.

Hardinge Park Terminal Features and Budget
The Hardinge Park Terminal is being developed with an investment of approximately ₹500 crore. The railways plan to give this terminal a modern look, similar to an airport. The project includes the construction of 5 platforms and 5 railway lines to handle more train traffic. The complete facility is targeted to be ready by 2029.
- Direct Entry: Passengers will get entry from the GPO–R Block flyover.
- Metro Connection: A subway will link the terminal to the Patna Metro.
- Capacity: It is designed to manage future passenger crowds effectively.
New Stoppage for Tata-Buxar Express
The Railway Board has decided to provide a new experimental stop for the Tata-Buxar Express at Anara station in Purulia. This facility will start from February 10. This move will help many local passengers who travel on this route daily.

Additionally, the Thawe-Patna Intercity Express will now run as a daily service. However, passengers on the Danapur-Vaishali route are still facing issues and have demanded the restart of suspended MEMU trains.
