How will RailOne app and Aadhaar verification work?
The RailOne app, launched in July 2025, is now a master application for all services. It has already been downloaded over 3.5 crore times. This app replaces the old UTS app, which was discontinued on March 1, 2026. Passengers can now book reserved and unreserved tickets, check PNR status, and see live train status in one place.
To stop fake bookings, Aadhaar verification will be prioritized for online Tatkal tickets. Additionally, passengers with confirmed tickets will now be able to change their travel dates without paying any cancellation fees.
