Passengers traveling through Charkhi Dadri railway station can look forward to a cleaner and more hygienic travel environment. The North Western Railway’s Bikaner Division has officially launched a comprehensive upgrade to the station’s cleanliness infrastructure, following the finalization of a new tender and the issuance of a work order on July 19, 2026.
Key highlights of the cleanliness initiative include:
• Deployment of advanced cleaning machines and specialized sanitation equipment.
• Appointment of eight additional personnel dedicated to station hygiene.
• Implementation of a two-shift rotation system for round-the-clock station upkeep.
• Installation of new dustbins and a revamped waste management protocol.
Modernizing Station Hygiene
Following the recent work order, the contracted agency has already begun operations on a war footing. The administration is focusing on a holistic approach to sanitation, ensuring that high-traffic areas such as platforms, waiting rooms, and the Foot Over Bridge (FOB) receive regular and thorough attention. Even the areas surrounding the railway tracks are being included in this rigorous maintenance schedule to ensure the station remains spotless.
Commitment to Passenger Experience
To maintain these elevated standards, the Station Superintendent has issued strict directives to the service provider, emphasizing that there will be no compromise on hygiene standards. By utilizing high-tech machinery and increasing the workforce, the Bikaner Division aims to provide a superior and more comfortable experience for all rail passengers. This initiative marks a significant step forward in the modernization of smaller railway stations, ensuring that cleanliness remains a top priority for the Indian Railways network.
