The Danapur Rail Division is preparing a significant upgrade for daily commuters. The Patna-Ara-Bhabhua Road Intercity Express (13249/50) will soon operate with modern LHB coaches instead of the old blue ICF bogies. This change aims to make the journey safer and more comfortable for thousands of passengers traveling between these cities.

Why are LHB coaches better for passengers?
Link Hofmann Bush (LHB) coaches are considered safer than traditional ones. They have better suspension systems and disc brakes which result in fewer jerks and less noise during the journey. In case of any mishap, these coaches do not climb over each other, reducing the risk of injury.
The red-colored coaches are designed for higher speeds and stability compared to the old blue ones. This ensures a smoother travel experience for everyone on board.
Which other trains will get new coaches?
This upgrade brings good news for passengers of other trains as well due to rack sharing arrangements. The Patna-Sasaram Passenger and Kamla Ganga Intercity Express will also start running with these new LHB rakes.
Students and office goers traveling on these routes will experience a smoother ride once the changes are implemented. While the exact date is not announced, the transition is expected to happen very soon.
