Increased Vigilance by Railway Administration
The railway administration has heightened its alertness following the discovery of ballast and pieces of wood on the railway tracks. As part of this initiative, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Ghazipur City has issued challans to 28 individuals under the Railway Act for unauthorized entry onto the railway line that connects Ghazipur City and Ghazipur Ghat. This proactive measure aims to ensure the safety and security of railway operations.
Special Campaign Underway
Amit Rai, the in-charge of the operation, stated that a special campaign has been launched on the orders of Senior Divisional Security Commissioner Varanasi S. Ramakrishnan. The campaign focuses on addressing the issues of ballast and wood being placed on the railway line by mischievous elements. The recent operation resulted in the issuance of challans to 28 individuals who were found trespassing on the railway tracks. The RPF team, including SI Kamlesh Singh Yadav, ASI Jitendra Singh, and ASI Ghulam Warish Sidhki, has been actively involved in this initiative, which is set to continue indefinitely.
Recent Incidents Prompting Action
The heightened security measures come in response to previous incidents involving railway track tampering. Recently, gravel was found on the tracks, leading to the arrest of three individuals by the RPF. Additionally, a piece of wood on the railway line caused a pressure pipe to burst on the Swatantrata Sangram Senani Express, resulting in another arrest. The RPF’s ongoing vigilance aims to prevent such dangerous occurrences in the future.
