Operational Changes on Banaras-Prayagraj Junction

The Railway Administration has announced operational changes on the Banaras-Prayagraj Junction to facilitate patch doubling work in the Jhunsi-Prayagraj Rambagh section. These adjustments include the cancellation and diversion of several trains due to necessary blockages for non-interlocking work and an inspection by the Railway Safety Commissioner. The aim of these changes is to enhance operational efficiency and improve overall passenger experience.

Train Cancellations

Several trains have been cancelled as part of these operational adjustments. Notably, the 11062 Jaynagar-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express, which departs from Jaynagar on December 10, 2024, will not operate. Additionally, the 05137 Mau-Prayagraj Rambagh Memu special train, scheduled to run from Mau on December 9 and 10, 2024, is also cancelled. Similarly, the 05138 Prayagraj Rambagh-Mau Memu special train, departing from Prayagraj Rambagh on the same dates, will not be in service.

Route Changes for Select Trains

In addition to cancellations, certain trains will experience changes to their scheduled routes. The 14005 Sitamarhi-Anand Vihar Terminal Express, scheduled to run from Sitamarhi on December 9 and 10, 2024, will now travel via Varanasi Junction-Madhosingh-Prayagraj Junction instead of its original route. Likewise, the 01028 Gorakhpur-Dadar special train will also take a revised route via Aundhihar-Jaunpur-Varanasi Junction-Prayagraj Chhivki on the same dates. Furthermore, the 01027 Dadar-Gorakhpur special train will follow the route from Prayagraj Chhivki to Varanasi Junction, then Jaunpur and Aundhihar.
