Train services in North India are facing delays due to severe cold and thick fog affecting visibility. The impact of fog is expected to continue until December 31. Multiple trains and flights are running late or being diverted due to poor visibility.

Some of the diverted trains include Andaman Express, Jhelum Express, and Jammu Tawi Humsafar Express. Major trains running late include Prayagraj Express, Tejas Rajdhani Express, and Brahmaputra Mail among others.


IndiGo and SpiceJet have issued travel advisories warning passengers about adverse weather conditions at airports in Amritsar, Chandigarh, Ranchi, Hindon, Agartala, Bagdogra, and Darbhanga. The situation may continue to affect flights in these locations in the coming days.

The state of Uttar Pradesh is facing severe fog, with visibility reduced to zero in five major centers. Road and air travel have been significantly impacted in places like Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, and Kanpur. Airports like Lucknow and Kanpur city have reported visibility of around 20 meters.
