Dense Fog Disrupts Train Services in Agra; 22 Trains Delayed, Passengers Stranded

Fog continues to be a problem in Agra, causing delays in train and flight services. On Friday, several trains including Vande Bharat from Bhopal and Khajuraho, as well as Mumbai’s Rajdhani and New Delhi’s Shatabdi Express were late.

Since late Thursday night, the fog has thickened, leading to trains operating at slower speeds. Reports indicate that about 60% of the trains could not maintain their average speed, resulting in delays ranging from half an hour to four hours.


For instance, the Bhopal Vande Bharat Express was delayed by 2.5 hours, while the New Delhi Intercity Express ran late by 2.5 hours. Other trains like the Mahakaushal Express and Chhattisgarh Express also faced significant delays.

In addition to trains, flights were affected too. The Ahmedabad flight arrived 36 minutes late at Khairia Airport and took off 50 minutes late. The Bengaluru flight saw a delay of 12 minutes as well.


As a result of the fog, many passengers had to cancel their tickets at Agra Cantt and other stations, with about 130 cancellations reported. Travelers are advised to check their schedules before heading out.
