Floods Disrupt Train Services in Jammu and Punjab; 69 Trains Canceled Due to Damaged Rail Lines

Floods in Jammu and Punjab are causing trouble for train passengers. The railway lines between Kathua and Madhopur have been affected, leading to cancellations of many trains.

North Railway has announced that 69 trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, that usually run through Muzaffarpur, Patna, Bhagalpur, and Barauni will be cancelled on 29th and 30th September.


This includes three trains that pass through Muzaffarpur, such as the Barauni Mauryadhwaj Express and the Amarnath Express, which will also be cancelled on these dates.

Passengers should be aware that the Bhagalpur-Jammu Tawi Express will run from Ambala Cantt instead of Jammu Tawi until 25th September. It’s important for travelers to check the train status before heading out.


Travelers are advised to call 139 or contact their nearest station for updates on their train services before starting their journey. This will help them avoid any inconvenience.
