A new Vande Bharat train service will connect Bengaluru and Ernakulam, starting mid-November.



Great news for those travelling between Bengaluru and Ernakulam! A new Vande Bharat train service is set to launch by mid-November, making it easier for many Malayalis.

This announcement comes from the Railway Minister, who has confirmed the details after the previous service was stopped last year. The new train will run tri-weekly, giving more options for travelers.


The train will leave Bengaluru at 5 am and reach Ernakulam by 2 pm. It will then return to Bengaluru and arrive by 11 pm. There will be six stops along the way: Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, and Selam, reducing travel time to under 9 hours.

Previously, the journey took about 13 hours, so this new schedule is a big improvement. Many are looking forward to this change, especially those working in the IT sector in Bengaluru.


This service is expected to begin by mid-November, and it’s a welcomed decision for many commuters who have been asking for more train options between Kerala and Bengaluru.
