On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced four new Vande Bharat trains for the country from his parliamentary area, Varanasi. He flagged off the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express from the Banaras Railway Station.

During the event, Modi also launched three other trains virtually: Lakhnow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express. He mentioned that these trains are a step towards a more developed India.


These new trains will improve travel options for passengers, making it easier to connect various cities. They aim to strengthen the link between urban and rural areas, helping boost local economies and tourism.

Modi emphasized that Vande Bharat trains are made by Indians for Indians, showcasing India’s growing capabilities. He noted that in the last 11 years, around 11 crore people have visited the Baba Vishwanath temple, highlighting the rise in pilgrimage tourism.


The Prime Minister mentioned that these developments are part of a larger infrastructure growth in the country. Holy sites like Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Kashi, and Haridwar are now better connected through these trains, promoting both heritage and progress.
