Big news for train travelers! Starting from January 1, 2026, there will be changes in the train schedule for the South Eastern Railway. This affects passengers traveling through the Chakradharpur division.

The railway has updated the timings for 24 important trains originating or passing through places like Howrah, Shalimar, Tatanagar, and Rourkela. The changes range from 5 to 30 minutes earlier or later.


Passengers are advised to check their train timings before heading to the station after January 1. They can use the NTES app or dial 139 to confirm their train times.

For instance, the Howrah Lokmanya Tilak Express will now leave at 7:25 PM instead of 7:35 PM. Similarly, the Tatanagar to Godda train will depart at 1:55 PM instead of 2:00 PM.


These changes aim to make train operations smoother and reduce delays. So, keep an eye on your train timings to ensure a hassle-free journey!
