A new Vande Bharat Express train, which has eight coaches, arrived at Vindhyachal railway station from Varanasi on Saturday morning at 10:25 AM. This is the first time such a train is stopping in the Mirzapur district.
The train made a brief stop for five minutes, during which 47 students boarded it to travel to Chivki station in Prayagraj. After picking up the students, the train continued on its journey.
Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel, along with local MLAs and other representatives, waved the green flag to send off the train. This train will now give students and locals better travel options.
According to the station superintendent, Irfan Siddiqui, apart from the students, other passengers from Varanasi will also be taken back by a special train to their destination after the train stops at Vindhyachal.
This train will arrive at Vindhyachal every day except Thursday at 6:55 AM and will stop for two minutes before continuing its journey further. The arrival was attended by several officials from the railway, police, and administration to celebrate this new service.
