This article shares updates about the Vande Bharat Express train service, including ticket booking rules and schedule changes.
There’s an important update for travelers using the Vande Bharat Express. When booking tickets online, passengers must now choose a catering option, as there’s no choice to skip it.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Lakhnow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express on November 8. The train was originally supposed to leave Lucknow at 5 AM and reach Saharanpur by 12:45 PM.
However, there have been schedule changes. Now, starting from Monday, the train will leave Saharanpur at 5:05 AM instead of Lucknow. It will stop at several stations and will arrive at Gomti Nagar in Lucknow at 2:05 PM.
The ticket prices have also been updated. For AC Chair Car, the fare from Saharanpur to Gomti Nagar is ₹1,530, while for Executive Class, it is ₹2,750. The return train will leave Gomti Nagar at 3:10 PM.
Currently, there seems to be less interest in this service, as many seats remain empty. The new stop at Gomti Nagar is causing inconvenience because it is not directly connected to public transport, forcing passengers to book auto-rickshaws or cabs.
Summary:
- Online ticket booking now requires a catering option.
- The train’s departure and arrival times have changed.
- Ticket prices for different classes have been updated.
- Less passenger interest is observed, with many seats empty.
- Gomti Nagar station lacks direct public transport connections.
