The East Central Railway (ECR) has stepped up to support lakhs of aspirants appearing for the Bihar Prohibition Department Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment written examination. To ensure candidates reach their centers comfortably, the railway administration is operating 12 special examination trains across key routes in Bihar. These services are scheduled to run on July 11 and July 12, 2026, specifically timed to align with the examination schedule.

Special Train Schedule and Connectivity
According to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway, the initiative is designed to handle the high passenger volume expected during the recruitment drive. On July 11, 2026, the ECR will run two pairs of special trains connecting the Patna-Chhapra and Patna-Bhabua Road sections. Furthermore, a special train (03202) was already scheduled from Patna to Bhabua Road on July 10, departing at 11:00 PM and reaching its destination at 4:00 AM the following morning.
For the exam day on July 12, 2026, the ECR has planned 10 additional special services. Notable among these is the Nawada-Jhajha Examination Special (03208), which departs Nawada at 1:30 PM and reaches Jhajha at 5:45 PM, passing through major hubs like Warsaliganj, Sheikhpura, Kiul, and Jamui. Another critical service is the Jhajha-Patna Examination Special (03212), departing Jhajha at 6:00 PM and arriving at Patna Junction at 10:00 PM, with scheduled stops at Jamui, Kiul, Mokama, Bakhtiyarpur, and Patna City.
Logistical Support for Aspirants
The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) is conducting this recruitment drive to fill 150 Sub-Inspector posts. With the application process having taken place from July 9 to August 9, 2026, the railway’s decision to provide dedicated connectivity highlights the administration’s commitment to managing the large-scale logistical demands of competitive examinations in the region.
