Passengers travelling through the North Western Railway’s Bikaner Division should prepare for significant travel adjustments as a four-day traffic block has been scheduled for the Mahendragarh-Kanina rail section. This essential infrastructure work, aimed at the construction of a new Road Under Bridge (RUB) at level crossing number 98, will take place between October 14 and October 17, 2026.
Impact on Train Services
Railway authorities have implemented a series of cancellations and diversions to facilitate the construction. The Rewari-Bikaner Express (54789) and the Bikaner-Rewari Express (54790) will remain cancelled for the entire duration of the block. Additionally, on October 14, 2026, the Sikar-Rewari Express (54803) will be short-terminated at Loharu, while the Rewari-Jodhpur Express (14824) will originate from Loharu, leaving the Loharu-Rewari section of its journey cancelled for that day.
Diversions and Schedule Changes
Commuters on several other routes will also experience disruptions. Trains including the Shri Ganganagar-Tilak Bridge Express (14727), Hisar-Delhi (54310), Delhi-Hisar (54309), Delhi Sarai-Sikar (14717), and Delhi Sarai-Jodhpur Express (22421) are scheduled to operate via diverted routes with specific stops at alternative stations. Furthermore, those travelling on the Delhi Sarai-Bikaner Express (22472) should note that the train will depart one hour later than its scheduled time on October 14, 2026.
These infrastructure upgrades are vital for enhancing safety and eliminating level crossings, which will ultimately lead to smoother rail operations in the long run. However, given the scale of these changes, railway officials strongly advise all passengers to verify their train status through official channels or the IRCTC website before heading to the station to ensure a hassle-free travel experience.
