Indian Railways has made some changes to the schedule of the 27th Vande Bharat train. This train, which was launched by Prime Minister Modi on September 24, 2023, runs between Chennai Egmore and Tirunelveli.
The train number 20665/20666 will now operate daily except on Tuesdays. It covers a distance of 653 km and takes about 7 hours and 45 minutes to complete its journey.
Passengers will see a new stoppage at Kovilpatti, adding to the existing six stops. The train will now halt at Tambaram, Villupuram Junction, Tiruchchirapali, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, and Kovilpatti.
The Vande Bharat Express leaves Chennai Egmore at 2:45 PM and arrives in Tirunelveli at 10:30 PM. For the return trip, it departs Tirunelveli at 6:05 AM and reaches Chennai Egmore at 1:55 PM.
This train consists of 20 coaches, offering both AC Chair Cars and Executive Chair Cars. Ticket prices are Rs 1625 for AC Chair Car and Rs 3015 for Executive Chair Car.
