Reports as of May 2026 indicate that while work on platform six is actively moving forward, the development of platform seven faces potential hurdles due to space constraints at the site. Furthermore, the overall project timeline has been impacted by manpower shortages, leading to an anticipated delay of approximately 1.5 to 2 years beyond the original deadline.
Despite these logistical setbacks, the North-Western Railway remains committed to completing the overhaul. Once finished, these improvements are expected to significantly enhance the travel experience for thousands of daily commuters passing through this vital Rajasthan rail hub.
