Modernizing Passenger Infrastructure
The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is designed to redefine the travel experience by equipping stations with world-class amenities. At Fatehpur, the renovation focuses on creating an aesthetically pleasing and highly functional environment. Passengers can now benefit from a new station building, a G+1 second entry, and a spacious concourse designed to reduce crowding. The station has also been equipped with advanced ticketing systems and a modernized circulating area to ensure a smooth flow of commuters.
Focus on Accessibility and Convenience
A core pillar of the redevelopment is inclusivity. The upgraded station now features improved accessibility for divyangjan (persons with disabilities), ensuring that travel is seamless for everyone. Additionally, the project includes better lighting, well-organized parking, and distinct entry and exit routes to streamline traffic and passenger movement. These enhancements are expected to significantly reduce wait times and improve the overall safety and comfort of thousands of daily passengers.
The inauguration ceremony was held virtually by the Prime Minister, while local dignitaries, including Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Chairperson of the National Backward Classes Commission, were present at the station premises alongside 13 other public representatives. The successful completion of the project was ensured under the supervision of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rajneesh Aggarwal, who spearheaded the coordination of the redevelopment work to meet the high standards set under the national scheme.
