Demand for Direct Train Service from Samastipur to New Delhi Raised by Local MP Shambhavi Chaudhary

Local MP Shambhavi Chaudhary has requested the railway authorities to start a direct train service between Samastipur and New Delhi. She participated in a meeting of the Regional Rail Users Consultative Committee in Hajipur on Thursday. The General Manager of Purnea, Chhatrasal Singh, welcomed her. Chaudhary demanded an extension of the route of the Saptakranti Express 12557/58, which currently runs between Muzaffarpur and Anand Vihar, to operate from Samastipur.

The MP also called for the daily operation of the 12435/12438 Anand Vihar-Jaynagar Garib Rath Express. Additionally, she emphasized the need to run 6 pairs of MEMU trains between Barauni and Muzaffarpur. She also urged for the construction of an ROB at Khudiram Bose Station in Pusa and another at Rosra-Begusarai Road at Gate No. 17.


It was also highlighted that construction of an ROB is necessary at Ateran Chauraha on the Samastipur-Barauni railway line. The proposal for a new train service between Darbhanga or Samastipur and Gaya Ji, as well as between Barauni and Kota for medical and engineering students, has been sent to the Railway Board.

Several trains, including the Intercity Express from Jaynagar to Danapur, the Jan Nayak Express from Darbhanga to Amritsar, and the Mithilanchal Express from Kolkata to Sitamarhi, will have stoppages at various stations, enhancing travel convenience for local residents.


The demand for improved train services and infrastructure upgrades at different railway stations in the region aims to benefit the public and enhance connectivity for passengers traveling to various destinations.
