Bihar Train News: New railway schedule to be implemented from the first day of the new year.
In the new railway schedule starting from January 1, Eastern Railway has made significant changes in the timings of 45 mail and express trains along with 203 EMU, MEMU, DEMU, and passenger trains. The aim is to improve the train operation system, utilize routes more effectively, and reduce the total travel time for passengers.
According to Eastern Railway officials, the maintenance and development work carried out throughout the year will now be reflected in the new timetable. After the maintenance of tracks, improvement in signal systems, and technical upgrades, improvements in the speed and punctuality of trains are expected.
Local train routes for suburban passengers have been extended in the new schedule. Several EMU local trains in Howrah and Sealdah divisions have been extended, providing relief to urban commuters. Additionally, the frequency of six EMU trains has been increased to daily service.
With a total of 248 trains undergoing changes in timings and operations, passengers can expect a more convenient, faster, and reliable rail service. Passengers are urged to check official information from the railway regarding the new timetable.
