Special Trains Introduced for Convenient Travel During Festivals, Ensuring Smooth Journey for Passengers.

Special Trains for Chhath Festival

Puja special trains have been introduced to facilitate passenger movement during the festive season. Two additional trains are set to operate for those traveling to New Delhi after the Chhath festival. The Patna-New Delhi Special Train (Train No. 03329) will leave Patna at 14:05 hrs on November 9 and 11, arriving in New Delhi at 08:00 hrs the following day. The route includes significant stops at Danapur, Arrah, Buxar, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction.

Return Services and Additional Routes

In a similar arrangement, the New Delhi-Patna Special Train (Train No. 03330) will depart from New Delhi at 09:30 hrs on November 10 and 12, reaching Patna at 02:20 hrs the next day, following the same route back. Additionally, a pair of Puja special trains will be operational between Kolkata and Delhi. The Delhi-Kolkata Puja Special (04074) will leave Delhi at 23:55 hrs on November 7, arriving in Kolkata at 03:30 hrs on the third day. Conversely, the Kolkata-Delhi Puja Special (04073) will depart from Kolkata at 07:40 hrs on November 9, reaching Delhi at 11:20 hrs the next day.

Post-Festival Arrangements

The General Manager of East Central Railway, Chhatrasal Singh, has assured that special trains will continue to operate after the Chhath festival, alleviating any potential return travel issues for passengers. Special arrangements will be in place from November 8 to 22, accommodating long-distance travelers and those arriving in Bihar for the festival. The GM emphasized the importance of planning travel dates and making reservations to ensure a smooth journey. He also mentioned ongoing safety measures, including increased police presence and medical teams at stations to enhance passenger security during the festive period.
