Special Unreserved Trains Scheduled for Kumbh Mela from Bhathni to Jhusi and Back in 2025

Introduction to Special Trains for Maha Kumbh Mela

During the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the Railway Administration has introduced two pairs of unreserved special trains on the Bhatni-Jhusi-Bhatni section to facilitate the movement of devotees. The special trains, designated as 05159/05160 and 05161/05162, are scheduled to operate on specific dates in January and February 2025, ensuring convenient travel for the participants of this significant religious event.

Train Schedule and Details

The 05159 Bhatni-Jhusi Kumbh Mela unreserved special train will operate on January 12, 13, 14, 15, 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2025, departing from Bhatni at 21:00 hours. It will make 11 trips on February 2, 11, and 25, 2025, with various stops including Pivkol, Salempur, and Varanasi, before reaching Jhusi at 03:30 hours. Conversely, the 05160 Jhusi-Bhatni Kumbh Mela train will depart from Jhusi at 23:25 hours on January 13, 14, 15, 16, 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2025, arriving at Bhatni at 07:45 hours the following day.

Additional Train Operations

In addition to the aforementioned services, the 05161 Bhatni-Jhusi Kumbh Mela unreserved special train will run five trips on January 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2025, departing Bhatni at 09:55 hours and reaching Jhusi at 16:10 hours. Meanwhile, the 05162 Jhusi-Bhatni Kumbh Mela unreserved special train will operate on January 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, as well as on February 3 and 12, 2025, departing Jhusi at 18:30 hours and arriving at Bhatni at 01:10 hours the next day. Each train will consist of 14 coaches, including 12 general second/sleeper class and 2 SLRD coaches.
