Ayodhya to Get Direct Rail Link to Chitrakoot with Vande Bharat Express, Launch Expected in January

The Indian Railways plans to connect Ayodhya to Chitrakoot with a new Vande Bharat Express train.



Good news for travelers! Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, will soon have a direct train service to Chitrakoot. This Vande Bharat Express will run through Lucknow, making it easier for people to visit these important religious sites.

The railway board has asked for a feasibility report from the Northern Railway headquarters. If everything goes well, the new train service could start in January, connecting Ayodhya with Chitrakoot directly.


This train is part of a larger plan to connect important places related to Lord Ram’s life through fast trains. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is also launching tours to connect these destinations.

Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj has requested the railway minister to start this service. The feasibility report will include details about the route, which will go through important stops like Unnao and Kanpur.


If all goes as planned, a new train set for Vande Bharat Express is expected to be available in January. Once the report is ready, the railway board will officially announce the service. This initiative aims to boost travel for pilgrims and tourists alike.
