Ernakulam-Bangalore Vande Bharat Train Inaugurated, Enhancing Regional Mobility and Reducing Travel Time

This article shares details about the launch of a new Vande Bharat train between Ernakulam and Bangalore.



A new Vande Bharat train connecting Ernakulam to Bangalore is now up and running. This train made its first journey recently, making it the third Vande Bharat service in Kerala. It will be operated by the Southern Railway.

The inaugural run of this train happened on a Saturday and it features an eye-catching orange and grey design. This semi-high-speed train aims to make travel faster and easier, while also boosting tourism and trade in the area.


On its first day of service, the train number 06652 will take around 10 hours to travel from Ernakulam to KSR Bengaluru. In regular service, it will complete the journey in less than nine hours. The train will make seven stops along the way, including Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, and a few others.

The train will leave Ernakulam at 8:00 AM and is expected to reach KSR Bengaluru by 5:50 PM. This schedule will help many passengers plan their trips conveniently.


After the successful trial run, the train is set for regular operations. The return journey will see train number 26652 leaving KSR Bengaluru early in the morning at 5:10 AM and arriving back in Ernakulam by 1:50 PM.
