India is all set to introduce its first Vande Bharat sleeper train on January 17, with PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate it. This train promises to offer a faster, more comfortable, and safer travel experience for passengers.

The train will not have any RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) seats or waiting list tickets. The Indian Railways has released a fixed fare list for travel, making the booking process simpler.


This sleeper train will have 16 coaches and the fares will be similar to airline prices. It will also reserve seats for women, senior citizens, and people with disabilities. There will be special quotas for railway staff as well.

For a journey of up to 400 kilometers, the fare for 3AC is ₹960, while 2AC costs ₹1240 and 1AC is ₹1520. As the distance increases, the fares will rise accordingly, with a maximum fare of ₹13,300 for 3,500 kilometers in 1AC.


Passengers will need to pay a 5% GST on the ticket price. The train will include modern safety features and a quick refund process for cancellations. Overall, this new sleeper train aims to enhance the travel experience in India.
