PM Modi to Inaugurate Jogbani-Patna Vande Bharat Express on September 15 in Purnia, Boosting Northeast Bihar Connectivity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch two new train services on September 15, enhancing connectivity in Bihar’s Seemanchal region.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Purnea on September 15, where he will inaugurate two new train services. This event will take place through video conferencing, making it a significant moment for the region.

The new trains are the Jogbani-Patna Vande Bharat Express and the Jogbani-Erode Weekly Express. The launch ceremony for the Vande Bharat Express will occur at the Farbisganj station, while the other train will be inaugurated at the Jogbani station.


Passengers can expect the Vande Bharat Express to leave Jogbani at 3:30 AM and reach Farbisganj by 3:45 AM. This train will stop at key stations like Araria, Purnea, Saharsa, and Samastipur, eventually reaching Danapur. The Jogbani-Erode train will depart every Sunday at 3:15 AM, with plans for daily service in the future.

The Vande Bharat train will consist of eight coaches, and its launch has excited local residents. The Railway Passenger Association and Chamber of Commerce consider this a historic achievement for the area.


Rail officials have also mentioned that soon, DEMU trains will be converted to MEMU rakes. New train services are expected to start on the Araria-Thakurganj route, further improving local connectivity.
