This article provides updates on the launch and details of the new Bengaluru-Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express train service.



The new Bengaluru-Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express train is set to be launched soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag it off on the 8th of this month. However, the regular service for passengers will actually start from the 14th.

This train will feature eight coaches and will offer over 600 additional seats for travelers from Bengaluru. Reservations and ticket prices will be announced in the coming days. Maintenance and cleaning facilities will be set up at the KSR Yard.


The inaugural train will depart from Ernakulam South station. It will take about 8 hours and 40 minutes to travel the distance of 630 kilometers from Bengaluru to Ernakulam, making nine stops along the way. The service will operate on all days except Wednesdays.

The schedule for the train shows that it will leave Bengaluru at 5:10 AM and reach Ernakulam by 1:50 PM. On the return journey, the train will leave Ernakulam at 2:20 PM and arrive back in Bengaluru at 11:00 PM.


Passengers can look forward to a fast and comfortable journey with this new train service. More details regarding ticket bookings and schedules will be shared shortly as the launch date approaches.
