What’s inside:

This article discusses the delays in train services from Tatanagar affecting passengers in Jharsuguda, Chandil, and Kharagpur.

Train services from Tatanagar to Jharsuguda, Chandil, and Kharagpur are facing serious delays, causing a lot of trouble for passengers. Many commuters, including students and workers, are struggling to reach their destinations on time.

The delays have been a growing issue in the Chakradharpur division. Trains coming from places like Mumbai and Bihar often arrive late once they reach this area, with many popular trains like Rajdhani, Duronto, and Vande Bharat frequently running behind schedule.

For instance, the distance between Tatanagar and Jharsuguda is 265 kilometers, and trains on this route rarely arrive on time. The same goes for trains to Chandil (35 kilometers) and Kharagpur (136 kilometers), leaving passengers frustrated.

Studies show that Chakradharpur division often ranks poorly in on-time train services, with around 38 out of 100 trains being late by 2 to 8 hours. Passengers have raised concerns on social media and through various complaints, but railway officials have largely ignored these issues.

Despite ongoing protests and campaigns for better train services, delays continue to plague passengers. The railway needs to address these concerns and ensure that train services are punctual to avoid further inconvenience.

Summary:

  • Train delays from Tatanagar are causing issues for many passengers.

  • Popular trains frequently arrive late in the Chakradharpur division.

  • On-time performance rankings for this division are consistently poor.

  • Passengers have voiced their complaints but received little response.

  • There is a call for urgent improvements to train services.
