The Patna–Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat Express will operate on a diverted route from May 4 to May 27, 2026, except on Sundays. Instead of its usual path via Zafarabad–Shahganj–Ayodhya Cantt, it will now run via Zafarabad–Sultanpur–Ayodhya Cantt. Due to this change, the train will not stop at Ayodhya Dham station during this period.

CPRO Sumit Kumar of Northeastern Railway stated that the changes are necessary for pre-non-interlocking work. Passengers are advised to check their train schedules and timings before starting their journey as minor delays may occur.
