The Vande Bharat Express train between Varanasi and Khajuraho is starting on November 8, 2023. This train will offer a new travel option for passengers in these regions.

On its first day, the train will operate as a special service, departing from Varanasi at 8:05 AM. It will then arrive at Khajuraho by 4:25 PM, making stops at several key stations along the way.


Passengers can expect the train to make stops at important stations like Prayagraj Chheki, where it will arrive at 11:05 AM. Overall, the journey will take about five and a half hours, making it a convenient option for travelers.

The train consists of eight coaches, including seven chair cars and one executive chair car. There will also be welcome ceremonies at all the stops where the train halts.


After the inaugural journey, details about regular services will be shared by the railway board. The train will have a specific number for regular operations, and local dignitaries will be invited to the inaugural event in Prayagraj.
