Rail traffic has been significantly impacted in the Mumbai Division and sections connecting Gujarat and Maharashtra, with critical waterlogging reported near bridges between Gholvad-Umargam Road, Sanjan Yard, and Udvada-Vapi. Furthermore, a landslide between Thakurbari and Monkey Hill has added to the operational challenges for North Western Railway.

• Cancellations: Trains including the 22966 Bhagat Ki Kothi–Bandra Terminus Express and 12926 Amritsar–Bandra Terminus Paschim Express were cancelled on July 25.
• Rescheduling: The 12956 Jaipur-Mumbai Central service faced delays of up to five hours.
• Diversions: The 20992 Daund–Ajmer Express was diverted on July 27.
• Safety Measures: Over two dozen trains were fully cancelled and 21 were halted mid-route on July 24 as water levels on railway bridges neared danger marks.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for Banswara and Dungarpur districts in Rajasthan, with other regions currently under Orange and Yellow weather warnings. With the weather situation remaining volatile, Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Amit Sudarshan, has strongly urged passengers to verify their train status before heading to the station.
