In a major relief for thousands of students, the Eastern Railway has announced the operation of a special unreserved train service between Bhagalpur and Kiul to facilitate candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Level-1 Computer Based Test (CBT). This dedicated service will run for 16 days throughout August 2026, ensuring that aspirants can reach their examination centers comfortably and on time.
Key highlights of the RRB special train services include:
- 16 days of operation: The special train will run on specific dates between August 3 and August 25, 2026.
- Route coverage: The service connects Bhagalpur and Kiul, with scheduled halts at all intermediate stations.
- Widespread support: Multiple railway zones, including East Central, Northern, and North Eastern Railways, are also launching special services for exam candidates.
Schedule and Route Details
According to the official announcement by CPRO Shibram Manjhi, the special train numbered 03409 (Bhagalpur-Kiul) and 03410 (Kiul-Bhagalpur) will be operational on August 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 25, 2026. Train 03409 departs Bhagalpur at 7:30 PM and reaches Kiul at 10:30 PM. For the return journey, train 03410 departs Kiul at 11:30 PM and arrives in Bhagalpur at 3:00 AM the following morning. This service is expected to benefit thousands of students traveling from Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, Dharhara, Abhaypur, Kajra, Urain, and Kiul.
Nationwide Support for Aspirants
Indian Railways is taking a holistic approach to ensure that candidates across the country face no travel hurdles. Beyond the Eastern Railway’s initiative, the East Central Railway will run special trains between Danapur and Purnia Court from August 3 to August 6. Similarly, the Northern Railway is introducing a daily service between Saharanpur Junction and SAS Nagar (Mohali) from August 3 to August 21, alongside six additional unreserved specials. Furthermore, the North Eastern Railway has scheduled a Mau-Bareilly exam special for 16 trips, running on selected dates from August 2 to 25. These coordinated efforts by various zones underscore the commitment of Indian Railways to support the academic aspirations of youth across the nation.
