The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited has officially launched its Joint Parcel Product Rapid Cargo Service on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor to transform rail logistics and e-com transport. This daily service aims to provide faster transit times and reliable delivery schedules for businesses across the country. Here are the key highlights of the new cargo service: The inaugural run started from New Dadri in Uttar Pradesh on August 18 2026, while the return service from New Ancheli in Navsari Gujarat began on August 20 2026. The 1200 km one-way route connects New Dadri, New Motidau in Mehsana, and New Ancheli with a scheduled transit time of 23 hours. Amazon India is the first e-commerce partner, and Harsh Logistics is a key patron. The service is projected to generate ₹21 lakh per round trip with an annual revenue potential of around ₹76 crore.

The new logistics initiative was formally launched by Dr. Manoj Singh who serves as the Member for Operations and Business Development of the Railway Board along with DFCCIL Managing Director Praveen Kumar and several other senior officials from the Railway Ministry. Designed specifically to cater to fast-growing sectors like e-commerce, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, retail, and general logistics, this daily operation aims to shift more freight from highways to dedicated freight rails ensuring eco-friendly and timely deliveries.
Booking and Operational Information
For businesses and cargo operators looking to utilize this facility, parcel space bookings can be seamlessly managed through the Freight Business Development portal using its Virtual Aggregation Platform. The system allows advanced planning by supporting bookings up to 180 days in advance. By leveraging the high-speed tracks of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, Indian Railways continues to enhance its freight capabilities offering businesses a dependable and cost-effective alternative for long-distance cargo movement.
