The Indian Railways is significantly improving travel options for passengers travelling between Bihar and Gujarat by introducing a brand new weekly Amrit Bharat Express train connecting Bhagalpur and Ahmedabad. This important development regularizes the previously operated Ahmedabad-Patna-Ahmedabad clone special trains, converting them into a full-fledged weekly service with enhanced passenger amenities and widespread stoppages across major railway stations.
The new service replaces the clone special trains numbered 09447 and 09448, and will now operate under train numbers 19423 and 19424. The introduction of this modern train aims to ease passenger congestion and provide a much more reliable, comfortable, and affordable long-distance travel experience for people residing in Bhagalpur, Patna, and surrounding regions.
