Indian Railways is operating special trains between Jabalpur and Hazrat Nizamuddin to manage the massive passenger rush during the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival which falls on August 28, 2026. These special services are jointly coordinated by West Central Railway and Northern Railway to ensure travellers secure confirmed berths and enjoy a hassle-free journey during the festive season.
Train No. 01701 Jabalpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Special will depart from Jabalpur on Saturday August 29, 2026 at 8:20 PM and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 2:25 PM the next day on August 30, 2026. For the return trip, Train No. 01702 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin on Sunday August 30, 2026 at 3:45 PM and arrive in Jabalpur at 9:30 AM on August 31, 2026.
Stoppages and Coach Details
To ensure regional connectivity, the special trains will halt at Katni Murwara, Damoh, Sagar, Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Junction, Gwalior, Dholpur, Agra Cantt, Mathura Junction, and Kosi Kalan in both directions. Passengers can choose from multiple travel classes as the train features a versatile coach composition including Air Conditioned (AC), Sleeper, and General class categories.

West Central Railway first shared these service details via an official X post on August 17, 2026, which was subsequently backed by a formal announcement from Northern Railway on August 21, 2026.
