What’s inside:
This article talks about the ongoing issues caused by dense fog affecting transportation in Agra, including train and flight delays.
Dense fog continues to trouble people in Agra. On Friday morning, the fog made travel difficult, affecting trains, buses, and flights. Many services experienced significant delays, with the Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express running three hours late, and the Utkal Express delayed by six and a half hours.
The fog had already started causing problems earlier in the week, with visibility dropping to zero at times. On Friday morning, the fog was particularly thick, leading to a change in how trains were managed. Instead of the usual automatic signaling, they used a semi-automatic system, allowing only one train to travel between two stations at a time.
As a result, about 25 trains faced delays ranging from one to six and a half hours. The Utkal Express was the most delayed, followed by the Sachkhand Express, which was four and a half hours late. Other trains like the Mumbai Rajdhani and Kerala Express also saw delays of over two hours.
Bus services from New Delhi, Lucknow, and Meerut to Agra were also affected, with delays ranging from one to two hours. Flights from Ahmedabad and Bengaluru were delayed by 16 and 27 minutes, respectively, causing inconvenience for passengers.
Passengers are advised to check the status of their trains and flights before heading out. The fog situation is expected to improve soon, but travelers should remain cautious and prepared for potential delays.

- Dense fog is causing major travel delays in Agra.
- Trains are running late due to visibility issues.
