Indian Railways has sanctioned a multi-crore budget to increase train speeds to 130 kmph on the Lalkuan-Rudrapur and Rudrapur-Rampur sections. This initiative involves extensive safety fencing to prevent cattle crossing and ensure smooth high-speed operations. This facility will include new stabling lines and is part of a plan for a mega terminal. Additionally, the budget includes provisions to enhance the Wagon Periodical Overhauling capacity at the Izzatnagar workshop. These developments will help the North Eastern Railway by modernizing repair infrastructure and improving train turnaround times for the entire region.
