The Assistant Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Jalore railway station to monitor the progress of various development projects. This visit focused on reviewing the ongoing station upgrade, inspecting the waiting halls, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness. The station is being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a project that was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 6, 2023, to modernize railway infrastructure.
Key modern amenities coming to Jalore Station
The redevelopment plan includes a range of modern features aimed at making the station more passenger-friendly. A new 12-meter wide foot overbridge (FOB) is currently under construction, which will feature lifts and ramps to assist elderly and disabled passengers. To improve safety and convenience, the old FOB will be dismantled. The station will also be equipped with automated ticket machines, electronic display boards, and enhanced waiting areas with green zones and CCTV surveillance for security.
