Indian Railways has stepped up to support thousands of aspirants appearing for the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Jharkhand Regional Worker Competition Examination (JFWC). To prevent overcrowding and ensure a smooth commute, South Eastern Railway will operate five pairs of unreserved examination special trains between July 18 and July 20, 2026. These special services will pass through the key station of Bokaro to cater to candidates traveling from various parts of the region.

Strategic Scheduling for Candidates
This initiative comes following a direct request from the JSSC in coordination with the Railway Board. East Central Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Saraswati Chandra, confirmed that the primary goal is to ensure students reach their examination centers without facing the usual rush on regular trains.
For those traveling through Bokaro, specific timings have been highlighted to aid planning. For example, the Ranchi-Dumka special (08619) is scheduled to depart Ranchi at 8:20 PM on July 19, reaching Bokaro at 10:40 PM. Its return journey, the 08620 special, will depart Dumka at 7:45 AM on July 20 and arrive in Bokaro at 1:50 PM. Additionally, the Tatanagar-Hazaribagh Road MEMU special (08103) will pull into Bokaro at 10:30 PM on July 19, while the Ranchi-Patna special (08624) is slated to pass through the station at 9:00 PM the same evening.
Enhanced Passenger Amenities
Recognizing the importance of this examination for thousands of youths, railway authorities have issued strict instructions to ensure adequate provision of drinking water, sanitation, and essential passenger amenities at all stations connected to these routes.
Because these are unreserved special trains, candidates are strongly advised to check the official station boards or the IRCTC portal for the most updated time schedules before heading to the station.
