The Ambala Railway Division organized a special ceremony at the Divisional Railway Manager office to recognize fifteen exceptional employees for their remarkable contributions. These staff members were celebrated as star performers due to their dedication toward revenue collection, ticket checking, digital payments, and passenger services. Divisional Railway Manager Vinod Kumar Bhatia presided over the event on August 21, 2026, where he commended the employees for their hard work and encouraged them to sustain high standards of integrity and service in their future duties. Unlike previous award ceremonies, this event did not feature any cash incentives ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 rupees, focusing purely on formal recognition of service excellence.
Outstanding Achievements in Ticket Checking
Ticket checking staff across the Ambala division collectively registered 33,071 cases, resulting in total revenue generation of approximately 2.13 crore rupees between April and July 2026. Ten specific employees were singled out for their exceptional performance in this domain. Deputy Chief Ticket Inspector Simranjit Singh from Ambala emerged as the highest contributor, successfully handling 7,395 cases and generating approximately 48.83 lakh rupees in revenue during 100 days of duty. Other honored Deputy CITs who received appreciation for their hard work included Rajesh Meena from Chandigarh, Lakhveer Singh from Ambala, and Rakesh Kumar from Chandigarh.
Advancing the Digital India Campaign
Beyond traditional ticket inspection, the division also acknowledged four employees for their proactive efforts in promoting the Digital India campaign between April and June 2026. Satish Kumar from Chandigarh topped this category by achieving an impressive 74 percent digital collection rate within the division, highlighting the growing preference for cashless transactions among railway passengers and staff alike.
