Bihar is boosting industries with the construction of 4 new industrial parks along the Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway route.
In Bihar, the focus is on increasing the industry sector. As a result, 4 new industrial parks will be built in the state. These parks will be constructed along the Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway route. Currently, efforts are being made to identify suitable land for these parks, and the Bihar government is actively preparing for their construction.
The construction of all 4 industrial parks will take place in Aurangabad, Gaya, Kaimur, and Rohtas districts. This initiative is expected to benefit these districts significantly. The Industrial Department has designed a special plan to establish these parks as major centers for exports, requiring approximately 19,000 acres of land.
With the development of the Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway, connectivity to Kolkata Port from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will become easier. The distance between Bihar and Kolkata Port can be covered in about 6 hours. This will facilitate the transportation of goods from the 4 districts in Bihar to other states, as well as make it easier to reach foreign markets.
Bihar’s Industries Minister, Dilip Jaiswal, revealed plans to use neighboring state ports to export Bihar’s products to better markets. The construction of 4 industrial parks along the Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway route is part of this strategy. The road project connecting Varanasi to Aurangabad is in its final phase and is expected to be completed soon, enhancing travel convenience to Delhi via Uttar Pradesh.
